Salads are great because you can use whatever you’ve got on hand and create something great.
They are also great to take with you to work for a healthy lunch so you don’t get tempted by fast food.
I like tuna on my work salads because you can buy those pouches of tuna and open them up when you’re ready to eat rather than needing to let it sit on your salad all day leading up to lunch.
Desired types and amounts of lettuce (I usually use 1 cup iceberg and 2 cups romaine)
1 pouch of tuna
4 tsp olive oil
2 tbsp fresh squeezed lime juice
2 cloves garlic, minced
½ tsp pepper
1. Put the olive oil, lime juice, garlic, and pepper in a plastic baggie or small bottle. Shake to mix.
2. When ready to eat, open tuna and pour on top of lettuce mixture.
3. Give the dressing a good shake and then pour over your salad.
