The South Beach Diet Quick and Easy Cookbook: 200 Delicious Recipes Ready in 30 Minutes or Less Review

The South Beach Diet might initially sound like one of those fad type diets because of the kind of imagery a name like that might evoke, but in fact it’s actually an incredibly successful diet that’s helped a lot of people. Named after a neighborhood in Miami, Florida the South Beach diet focuses on low carb and high protein meals and classifying good and bad fats and carbs, which helps to build a good foundation for understanding nutrition.

Now I’m usually fairly skeptical on whether or not a recipe or cookbook can actually help me lose weight in the long run, but I have to say that I was pretty impressed with the South Beach Diet Quick and Easy Cookbook. Where most recipe books just load their pages front to back with foods that look tasty without much thought to their actual nutritional content, each and every one of these recipes logs the meal’s “stats” so you know exactly what you’re eating. It’s not just one or two or even a few dozen recipes either, there’s a full 200 recipes in this book that all fall in line with the South Beach diet’s guidelines.

The recipes in the book are all great too, not just because they taste good and are balanced either, the recipes all use ten or fewer ingredients and, within reason concerning cooking skill, shouldn’t ever take more than half an hour to prepare. The South Beach Diet Quick and Easy Cookbook is the total package, the recipes are easy, don’t have a ton of ingredients, and won’t take your entire night to prepare. It also includes 25 all new recipes from Miami area chefs so you’re practically guaranteed to find something that makes your mouth water without putting you over your limits.

The one major issue that readers seem to have with the book is that, despite the simplicity of many of the recipes, they may not all always take things that you’ll have ready in your kitchen. You may have to head out to the store if you want ingredients for some of these, but with two hundred recipes in all to choose from you shouldn’t have a real problem finding something to cook. Even as the third book in the series you won’t have any problem settling in and enjoying the tasty, nutritious recipes the South Beach diet has to offer. Pick this up on Kindle or hardback and get to cooking right away!
