Hummus is kind of hit and miss with kids. Some love it, some can’t stand it. It’s amazing though, that a small change can make it irresistible for most kids! The biggest difference between this and most hummus recipes is just a bit of peanut butter.
This goes well with crackers, pita chips, or English cucumber slices.
5 tbsp creamy all natural peanut butter
3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp ground cumin
½ tsp cayenne pepper
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp salt
1 can garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp tahini
½ cup water
1. Heat the peanut butter in the microwave for 20 seconds so it’ll be melty and creamy.
2. Combine all ingredients besides the water in the food processor. Slowly drizzle the water in while processing until it’s smooth and at the desired consistency.
